"Hey!" Ellie shouted, power walking after Max. "You're not the only one doing stuff anymore. You got to take care of the group too. Everyone does."

"I don't need to take care of shoot, they handled themselves this far they can keep doing that," Max said as he walked. He pulled up his bag, "they're strong enough to do why needs to be done."

"Let him be like that if he wants," Autumn said. "The less people we have who don't give a shít about this group, the better."

Teagan huddled in the driver's seat of an old van at a gas station, her arms around a dirty-looking, marked-up pillow. She was thinking about what she would do, where she might go... although her thoughts were a bit scattered, and she couldn't seem to think of anything. A voice in her head kept nagging her, telling her that she had nowhere to go, and that there was nothing she could do. It told her she was useless and as good as dead. She tried to ignore it, but it persisted, and her head fell onto the pillow. This particular voice had been bothering her a lot lately, but instead of being used to it, it still upset her.
(I think it's a gas station they're going to?)

Ellie huffed, taking her gun in her hands and following Max. "Be that way. At least one of us has the group in mind instead of ourselves."

"Yeah whatever," Max said walking faster to get ahea of her. He wasn't in the mood to fight. His head hurt and the trees spun every time he took a step.

Quickening her pace to match Max's, Ellie rolled her eyes, taking a long, silent inhale. "Sure. Where's this drugstore?"

"Gas station," Max sad as they walked amoung the trees. "We'll get to a highway and then it's a short walk to the station."

Autumn rolled her eyes and turned back to Brian. "You actually teamed up with that asshole?"

"I needed a ride," Brian said shrugging, "he had one. Plus he's a really good shot."

"Sure," Ellie said uncertainly. The last thing they needed was to be walking alone for a while after everything that had happened. "You okay?"

"Yeah well I think his non-caring attitude towards the group is more dangerous than if he wasn't a good shot," Autumn said, slightly aggravated. She turned and walked to the back door, where Deryk was poking his head out. "How you holding up?" she asked, her tone immediately more soft than before. Deryk said nothing, and stared her in the eye for a moment, before rushing forward and giving her a tight hug. It caught Autumn by surprise, his sudden affection after being so quiet, but after a slight moment of hesitation, she hugged him back without saying anything, just held him against her.

((Haha, you know what would be funny? If the zombie Max unleashed was the one that scratched Deryk and then Autumn can hate Max even more. HahahahahAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA--))

"I'm fine," Max said looking over at her, "I'm just not used to all this. The whole cheer squad routine."
Brian looked down at them. "Yeah he's an asshole I get it," he said calmly. "How he holding up? All this must be stressful on him."

Ellie sighed, shrugging. "I think we're more like a football team than a cheer squad, but whatever floats your boat. I meant with the whole crash and everything, though. Because people are dead. So I wanted to see if you were okay. Because I'm nice and care about the group."
