Autumn took one more glance at the now undead Deryk, and then back at Brian, thinking about the infection. "No time," she breathed, and in one smooth motion, stood up, and circled the axe around, bringing it down just below the kneecap, going just halfway through into the bone.

Brian screamed out and gripped and clenched his fists. Tear fell fon his eyes and he bit down on his arm. He had wanted the stick so he didn't bite his tongue off. He knew it wasn't all the way through and he gagged a the sight I his leg.
Jason had been walking though the forest when he heard the scream. He ran toward the sound hoping he had finally found other survivors beside himself. He crouched in a bush and slowly crept out to see Autumn and Brian. He uncles behind the car and jumped a he saw the zombie boy.

Autumn winced as she heard the none crunch, and the slight vibration that she felt from hitting the none chilled her to her very core. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" She started saying in a panicky voice. She wound up again, and let the axe fall again, this time almost completely severing the leg. She let out a wince as the bone crunched again. Behind her, Deryk was starting to get more aggressive on the glass. Her gaze found Talon who was still unconscious on the side of the road, and her mind showed her in that moment just how different her life was from what it was almost a year ago.

Brian screamed and clamped down on his leg. "Bandage it," he said before his world spinners and went dark.
Jason stepped out waving his hands, "hey, hey, please don't shoot," he said hoping he didn't startle Autumn.

Autumn jumped when she heard the voice. She looked over her shoulder at the man who seemed to be unarmed. 'Great,' she thought, one unconscious, or unconscious and bleeding, one a zombie, and now a stranger. She reached down and grabbed the gun from Brian's limp hand. "Stay back," she said in an unconvincing way, limply pointing it at him as she looked from him to Brian. She lowered it, and instead got up to give the last swing to take off Brian's leg. "shoot, shoot," she muttered under her breath. She looked at the badly bleeding hole, and decided the best thing to do would be to reapply the tourniquet until she could clean him up. Casting another glance over her shoulder, she put the gun down next to her and set to work. "Don't you come closer, I will not hesitate to shoot you!" She shouted over her shoulder.

Jason jumped back, "I'm good i swear," he said lowering down, "is....is.... Is there anything I can do to help," he offered.

Autumn swallowed back a choke as she said the next words. "If the kid gets out, kill him." She didn't look back from her work. After securing the tourniquet, she grabbed the whiskey from Brian's other hand and splashed a bunch on the wound. She wast sure how much alcohol percentage it contained, but she hoped it was good enough to kill infection. She ran back to the trunk to pull out the first aid kit. She eyed Jason hard as she brought it back to begin wrapping up Brian's leg, the way she had been taught in the extra paramedic class she had been taking before all of this.

Jason looked at the turned boy, "you want me to...,,kill a kid," he said. He swollowed a lump in his throat. "I don't even have a weapon."

"That's not a kid!" Autumn shouted. She continued to bandage up the severed leg, shivering the whole time. She never had dealt with the real thing, before, just practice sessions. Even after she joined that other group, she had only ever had to clean up small wounds. With a final tear, she tucked the last scrap of bandaging into the giant wad. With a dep breath, she removed the tourniquet, hoping it wouldn't bleed through.

"Doesn't matter," Autumn said. She looked up at the guy. "What are you doing here? As you can tell, I'm not having the greatest time. So if you're gunna rob me, I won't go down without a fight." She stood to face him.
