Okay, so I realise now that in order for this thread to work we actually gotta discuss each others opinions. So, Georgia and lala , why is Jack your least favourite character? And Cade195 , why is Ezra your favourite? Woo, unity! I like characters like Ezra and Koh because they are really cool and laid back. Ezra more so than Koh, but you get the idea. Plus they're just less annoying than the others haha.

I know a lot of characters dislike Autumn (I'm not being rude, I understand) but I actually like her as she is quite down to earth and genuine in my eyes

There's lots of great qualities that each character has, but at the same time there's probably something bad that you can point out in each character. I just find characters like Nishan, Sakura, Autumn, Mia, and Payton to be a little annoying sometimes. Wes is kind of in between.

I agree with Cade. Everybody has good and bad qualities.

A lot of people don't like Sakura and Koh. Sometimes I have moments where I'm like, "why must you be like this?", "Seriously, Koh, again with the violence", "Sakura, how about less getting rekt and more going to to corner and thinking about how if you keep acting like this Nishan will put you in the friend zone." Truth is though, I forget about their past. I forgot that Sakura has a sister that's in NASA and her brother's one of the youngest serving Navy Officers. I don't think this justifies her actions it's just a reason for them. She's competitive because that's how it is at home. She's just trying to fill the shoes that her siblings left behind. Plus, she's the youngest child so being stubborn is a given And with Koh, with her grandma predicament. I think she's just been dealing with bad people and doing bad things that she doesn't know what to do now that she has good company -that she's friends with good people. I still think she's a bit high strung because she has trust issues. Who wouldn't after having a guy like Razor as your boyfriend? So she has this bravado that comes across mean and stubborn. But I just think she's used to having things her way because it used to be the only way. She's been alone for so long she doesn't really now what to do or how to treat this company. Rant, over.

My favorite character is definitely beckett, mainly because his intro quest revolved around puppies!!!! He's just too cute and sweet. (Spoilers ahead) And in terms of hating characters, I don't dislike anyone of the main characters. I would be willing to defend pretty much all of them. However, I do extremely dislike some of the antagonists, such as Razor and Pandora. They simply show a lack of human empathy and remorse. They are both criminals and are both pretty caricaturisted versions of high school bad-guys, and appear pretty one-dimensional (at least with what we know about them at the moment).
I will defend Autumn to the death though. The main critiques I see of her is that she's a Mary Sue or too whiny. On the whiny front, the only times I've seen her whine is the quest her dad remarries, when her locket is destroyed and when she can't afford the prep school uniform in the rebel quest (there's probably a couple more I can't remember). If we examine these instances, it's mostly her going through grief for her mother, which is a totally normal thing for TEENAGERS whose mother died and with a neglectful father to do. She obviously hasn't been able to properly mourn with her dad because, as mentioned in quite a few quests, he's never there for her. This is also evident in the school uniform quest. If your dad didn't care enough to buy you a new school uniform when he obviously could afford it, and you were facing suspension, how would you feel? But aside froom all this, Autumn is cheery and compassionate. She tries to be the best friend she can, especially to the MC. However, she isn't a Mary Sue. Sure, she can play a couple sports and take some photos, but literally every main character is good at tonnes of other things because they need enough characters to fill up quests. Julian can play a bunch of sports, and he plays drums in our band. Nishan is a complete genius, and he plays keyboard for our band. It's just a part of the game that people have a bunch of strengths. But Autumn isn't just these strengths. She is dealing with grief, like previously mentioned. This can make her a bit emotional, and can make her snap at her friends every once and a while. But the combination of these traits makes her more realistic. I get angry and upset from time to time, but I'm also good at a few sports and art and math. But am I a Mary sue? Am I whiny? (I mean probably on that one but I still have friends and am a real person, so it doesn't defeat the point). Of course you don't have to like every character, just like how we aren't friends with everyone in real life, but if you dismiss her as whiny, or annoying, or poorly a written character, I think you need to reexamine her.
Sorry for the long rant, I haven't proofread it so it's probably a mess. I just love Autumn and have been through SO many discussion about her

I personally find Autumn to be a really realistic portrayal of a high schooler who's dealing with grief and trouble at home. I love how she's so kind though, and how she's always there for the MC. I feel really strongly about Wes, and how he's such a good character with a well developed backstory. I love good backstories. And all the characters feel like they could be people I know (the MCs and some RCs) and in some way I wish I had all the MCs at my school.

Regarding Autumn though (she's popular isn't she?), I think my reasons for seeing her the way I do have meaning behind it. I don't reckon I'll share those reasons, but you guys get the gist

Three posts in a row because I'm too lazy to edit one I REALLY love Wes and his back story. One of my favourites. Actually...whose back stories do I like? So Wes is up there. Max is too. Sakura. Koh. Ace. Yeah... What about you guys? Favourite back story? Least favourite?

I really like Mia's back story, it's very intense. But I don't think Julian has a very well developed back story. As far as I can remember, all we know about Julian's back story is that he has a sister and his dad is really harsh on him.
